Yifei is assisting with the development of vascularized, biofabricated tissue models by fabricating photoablated collagen microchannels and optimizing their endothelialization with human endothelial cells. Her work focuses on establishing reproducible protocols for creating perfusable, barrier-forming microvessels that serve as physiologically relevant platforms for studying the tumor microenvironment and advancing engineered tissue models.
