Taking printing to the fourth dimension

3-D printing has come a long way since it was first developed more than thirty years ago. Now, a team of Harvard scientists have created 4D-printed structures that are capable of changing shape. Jennifer Lewis, Professor of Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, says 4D printing could help restore damaged tissue inside a person's body.
